When I say I am a plural system, what I mean is that I articulate my concept of self in terms of many people. Speaking in terms of “me” and “I” is accurate enough, for most interactions, but it’s a simplification. What’s actually happening from my(our) point of view, is that a whole team of people confer about what to say and agree on how to say it. “I” am a collaboration.

Emily Dempsey (she/her) is a steward of secure attachment, providing her communities with safety and grounding in support of exploration and growth. As a mathematician and gamer, she is a natural problem-solver, and as a plural, queer relationship anarchist, Emily is committed to fostering permission for everyone to live their most authentic lives. She currently heads a local polyamory community nonprofit and is exploring how art, role-playing, and ceremony can create a better world.
