Crochet to the Moon Progress - March 2021
Crochet to the Moon Progress Update
Only 288,246 yards to go until we reach the space station!
We are excited by the ways we have joined several crochet communities on Instagram and are gathering numbers and strength on our way to the moon. Thank you for everyone who sends in photos so we can make regular posts about our progress and add more astronauts to our team!
Our yardage for this month was steady with last month’s amazing push as we logged almost 30,000 yards! That’s over 17 miles in yarn!
Our team has also been learning a lot about sustainable yarn practices, and as such, we wanted to spotlight @applecreekmerinos for how much they spoil their sheep babies. Just check their Instagram if you don’t believe me. If any of you handspin, this a great local farm to reserve fleece from. We ordered some roving, and it is next-to-skin soft!
Additionally, we have been thrilled to find that Maiwa, a Canadian-based company, makes natural plant-based dye extracts that dissolve in water and make hand-dyeing a much easier and sustainable process for novice dyers. Check it out!
Enjoy the free pattern below. We’re excited to get working on it! If you would like us to feature your pattern in our next newsletter, please email magic@highpriestesses.com.
