Crochet to the Moon Progress - Summer and Fall 2022
Since our last update in mid-May, we have crocheted, knitted, and woven 385,876 yards of yarn. This is a big improvement from last summer when yarn use slowed down a lot, so this is very exciting! Thank you to everyone who has been talking about this project with friends and getting more people on board. Our Facebook group has been booming (though, tbh, the Instagram has been tough for me to keep up with), so come stop by if you want to share project photos!
We also hit two million yards in the last month, which rocks! We need to get to 10,936,142 yards to fully exit earth’s atmosphere, but we are gathering speed!
I started crocheting the very first baby blanket for the future baby my partner and I plan to have in 2024! Never too early to start, right? Here’s the pattern if you’re curious. It comes from a great book of baby blankets that I highly recommend.
Which fiber artists are currently inspiring you?
And don’t forget! Yarn bombing counts, too. Get creative!
